Holiday Gift Wrap Inspiration

Last holiday season, Sugar Paper's holiday wrapping collection for Target was so cute, but since we no longer have Target in Canada, I was unable to get anything other than inspiration from the collection! While I am torn each year to simply wrap gifts with any random paper I have around the house, or come up with an amazing theme - I usually end up coming up with something that involves kraft paper and real greenery from trees in the yard! Who cares right? The gift is ripped to shreds in 10 seconds and your hard work is gone and forgotten - but I do it anyways and drive myself crazy wrapping each gift perfectly.

This year I have vowed to be more organized and try and come up with unique wrapping ideas that don't cost a fortune and leave me scrambling to the last minute. I have seen really cute wrapping paper at HomeSense (HomeGoods) and Michaels always has a large selection of ribbon at reasonable prices. If you are looking for unique pieces (or simply looking for some inspiring ideas), take a look at this year's Sugar Paper for Target wrapping collection below!

I love the blue and gold paper! The gold and white ribbon and decorative jingle bell are amazing.

The ornament below can be used as a gift topper or placed on your tree. The soft blush colour, paired with a blush and gold ribbon strays from the traditional Christmas colours giving it a unique look.

Blush pink with gold stars! Certainly not the traditional Christmas vibe, but still so cute and festive!

The scalloped edges on these boxes provide enough detail that only a ribbon is needed to complete the look.

This may be my favourite! Kraft paper with gold trees! A coloured ribbon would also look great with this paper.

Who does not love a classic red option! Paired with the ornament topper, this red and gold wrapping would look amazing under the tree.

The details on this paper differs from typical Christmas patterns and I love it.

More ornament toppers! These can be purchased anywhere, really - or you can use pieces that you already have to top your wrapped gifts.

Something I never really knew existed before this year was designer wrapping paper! This year there are some great collaborations including the one below from Schumacher and Mark D. Sikes. The papers really do look like wallpaper.
