As I mentioned on my Instagram page, I have decided to add one more blog post per week under the category of "Weekly Favourites". Like I said, this is in NO way revolutionary or new in the blogging world by any means, I have seen it done quite a bit in one way or another but have always enjoyed these posts so I decided to add one of my own! I have been thinking about this for a while (as I have been brain storming new weekly categories to add to my blog) and this week seemed like a good time to write the first post as I have a bunch of favourites this week!

Starting next week, my "Weekly Favourites" post will go up every Sunday and will include a variety of different items (not just interior design) from fashion, to food, good finds, travelling, etc. - really anything that caught my interest during the week that I want to share!

Here are this week's favourites!

Raincoat -  I saw this yellow raincoat online and was immediately intrigued. I figured I would see if I could find it in store next time I popped in and a few days later there it was - on sale for under $45! The colour is perfect (somewhere between yellow and green), the fit is great, and the fabric is ideal for rainy days without being too stiff and thick. I have a longer lululemon black raincoat that i've had for close to 10 years now and I still like it, but it is longer and doesn't look too good with fancier outfits. Love that i've found a stylish option in a fun colour for a great price.

Nike Runners -  Found these at Winners for a steal! They are the "Roshe" style in oatmeal and they have the nicest snake-skin pattern. Super comfortable and slightly more stylish than regular Nikes. Winners/Marshalls have TONS of great shoes these days!

Pierce & Ward - The work of designer duo Pierce & Ward was featured on the One Kings Lane Instagram recently which led me to their own paged and I immediately loved their work. A great design account to follow!

Lobster & Corn Chowder - I saw this recipe (linked here) on the Williams Sonoma Instagram page last week and decided to try it out this past weekend. We made a homemade bread to go with it and the chowder itself turned out great! No milk (just heavy cream, but at least it didn't call for both like most chowder recipes) and no butter. It did however need more seasoning, we added extra along with cayenne and paprika (FYI incase anyone wants to make it). It made a ton so I was able to bring the leftovers as an appetizer to Father's day dinner which was great. I would highly suggest following Williams Sonoma for their recipes alone - always great!

Original Oil Painting - I found this vintage painting for a client's living room for a great deal and I love it! The piece is huge and ties in all the colours of the room - blue, green, and hints of orange!

Blue & White Button Down - This shirt was under $20 and I swear one of the best blue & white button downs i've found. I'm pretty sure I ordered three and returned them all before finding this one (which I thought would be a total bust, but I love it). The shirt is long and not too fitted and the material is light, making it the perfect summer shirt.
